Notes
- He was 66 years old when he died in Hamilton. I was told he had to be dug out of several foxholes while in the war. I remember the gouge in his arm, that he received from a bullet wound. Not sure about the details. He was a quiet man, always had a peppermint for me when I was at his home on Henry Street in Hamilton Ontario back in the 40s.
