Notes
- She married late in life and he passed away within six months.
She worked for years with the Canadian National Railways in Winnipeg.
She was a secretary most of the time.
Would drop in to see Aunt Annie and Bella from time to time.
Ann was a secretary, married Eddie Duke late in life - on June 6 1952
Eddie died of a heart attack on November 15 1954.
Ann lived in Winnipeg. Being on her own most of her adult life, she became "set in her ways". She seemed quite domineering and somewhat intimidating. When Joyce was a kid she went to Winnipeg to an eye specialist at least once a yearand stayed with her. Ann came out to Joyce's farm occasionally, she loved to drive. She liked to play cards especially Canasta. She took in University students as boarders. She suffered from breast cancer.
Anne's house was on Windermere Avenue in Fort Garry. She later lived in apartments on Nassau Avenue, Warsaw Avenue and Pembina Highway. Joyce always spelt her name "Anne" so maybe she liked the added "e"
Joyce.
1901 census show her born in 1889.?
