MASSEL, Marjorie Jean (née KENNEDY)
Marjorie Jean MASSEL, 72, of Shakespeare, passed away in Stratford General Hospital, on Sunday, June 27th, 2004. She was born at St. Catharines on November 17th, 1931, a daughter of the late Francis KENNEDY and the former Leta Bell FLEWELLON. She had worked as a cook at the Bonnie Brae Health Care Centre in Tavistock. Marjorie is survived by her husband, Harvey Henry "Tony" MASSEL whom she married at Meaford, on December 22nd, 1955; two sons, Anthony and wife, Sandy MASSEL, of Gadshill, Gary MASSEL, of Shakespeare; three daughters, Ann MASSEL, of Mitchell, Linda and husband, David DIEHL, of Simcoe, Susan MASSEL and Johan LANGRAINGE, of Stratford; six grandchildren, Stephen and Matthew DIEHL, Michelle and husband, Shane RESTOULE, Sarah McEWIN, Pat MASSEL and Timothy LANGRAINGE; two great-grandchildren, Sam and Hannah RESTOULE; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roland DOUBROUGH, of St. Catharines, Charles LADD, of Ayr, Bonnie COOPER, of Palmerston, Ross and Florence KEHL, of Southampton, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Vera DOUBROUGH, Mildred DEVISON and Frances JANE; by sister-in-law, Jane LADD and brothers-in-law, William DEVISON, Ed JANE and Carl COOPER. Relatives and Friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock, on Wednesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 1st, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Stanley DIEHL will officiate. Interment in South Easthope Cemetery, Shakespeare. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Building Fund of Shakespeare Presbyterian Church would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home by calling, 1-519-655-2431.
DOUBROUGH, James Roland 'Rolly' - Peacefully in his 99th year, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Rolly is survived by his beloved grandchildren Jason Andrew (Robin) Doubrough, Sean Roland Doubrough, Sarah Lynn Doubrough and loving daughter-in-law, Lorelei Doubrough. Great Poppa will be missed greatly by his great-grandchildren Ashley Doubrough and Colin Doubrough, Predeceased by his wife, Vera (Kennedy) Doubrough (1997), his son James William Doubrough (2003) and special friend Ruth Miller (2015). The family would like to thank the staff of The Orchards for the special care of Rolly, during this time. The family will receive friends at the HAINE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL , 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 3rd at 11:00am. Interment to follow. If so desired, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
