Reg started with the Grand Trunk Railway on June 26 1919.
He was cremated in London Ontario. His ashes where traced back to Stratford  at Heinbucks Funeral Home. It is felt that when Rose was asked what to do with them, she never indicated where they were to go. Mary her daughter traced them to the Funeral home but no one seems to know what happened from there.

Reg died in the Riverside Nursing Home in Michell Ontario. He was 75 years old.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reg started his Army stint in Toronto and Niagara on the Lake. They then moved back to Hamilton. He was forman at Dominion Steel.
He enlisted August 28, 1918. Had a previous stint with the 91st Highlanders for 2 years.
He was drafted under the Military Service Act of 1917. Rose lived at 97 Ann Street in Toronto Ontario at that time.
His present address was 59 Kinrade Ave Hamilton Ontario. He was an electrician at this time.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reg was also manager of the Canadian National Maids and the Kroehler girls baseball teams.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I checked with Heinbucks Funeral Home and the records indicated the Reg's ashes came back to
the Funeral home, but there is no record of who picked them up. It would seem that Rose would be
the only one who could receive them as there is no record of them being transferred to the Stratford
Cemetery. Mary arranged to have Reg's name added to Rose's on her memorial. CD
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My recollection of Reg was that he was a strong willed man, but had a good heart. When he talked to me in my younger years he seemed rather gruff, but as I got older we became rather close. It seemed that he and daughter Helen were close and Rose and Mary were close I am not sure if that is completely true, but it seemed that way. I believe my uncle was instrumental in getting me into the CNR shops as an electrician apprentice. It was a very difficult trade to get into. I remember he showed me were he hid his savings bonds so Rose could not find them if something happened to him. He indicated that Helen was the only other one who knew of the hiding place. He donated many years of his life to baseball and softball leagues. CD
