• Mary Joyce (Doubrough) Wendland
  WENDLAND, Mary Joyce (Doubrough) - Mary Wendland, age 92 years, of The Westmount Long Term Care Facility, Kitchener, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. She shared her life with her loving husband of over 50 years, her sons, their families, and surrounded herself with dear friends. Her daughters-in-law were of particular pride since it seems only boys were her lot. She enjoyed her affiliation with St. Paul's Anglican Church and Eastern Star and her many activities with friends - curling, golf, travel and bridge. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late Rose and Reginald Doubrough. Beloved wife of Stanley Wendland (deceased) whom she married November 30, 1940. Loving mother of Dennis Wendland and his wife Jackie, and Mark Wendland and his wife Paula; dear grandmother of Sarah, Jeremy, Adam and Cole, all of Kitchener. Sister of Helen Plaskett and brother-in-law Don (deceased) and sister-in-law of Lloyd Hertzberger, and her husband Grant of Waterloo and Marg Wendland and her husband Doug of Baden. Predeceased by a son, Robert Charles Wendland and brother-in-law Howard Wendland. A memorial service will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford, on Friday, December 7 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Avondale Cemetery.
