The original spelling was Daubrah as was found in his daughter Ann's birth certificate #S.R.96982/25
John Daubrah's birth certificate #CL 618243
John was 62 years of age when he died.
With the original spelling of Daubrah and checking through the internet I was able to contact Jill (Daubrah) Shipman. With her help I and she were able to complete our family databases to this date. Jill has been able to take the tree back to 1739.

The following is an email I received from a lady who had an article in the Hamilton Spectator in regards to special inscriptions and motifs on gravestones. The one on John Doubrough's stone seemed different than the ones she described so I sent her a photo of it and this was her reply:
August 10 2003
Hi Charles,
Thank you so much for the photo of your grandfather's gravestone. It's a very interesting example of the hand and chain motif because it differs from the more typical ones which usually show the hand with the extended index finger touching a link on the chain, rather than having the hand hold the chain.
I think the motif on your grandfather's gravestone still conveys the same idea as the more typical ones do; that is, the chain of love and joy which death broke has been rejoined by the hand of God -- although the cuff looks very feminine!
The inscription, "Oh, how we miss you," is quite unusual.
